Wylie Recreation: Tween Scene Adventures {Wylie Recreation}

Tween Scene 2012 has been jam-packed with fun so far, and it isn?t even over!

Week one literally rocked! All 25 Tweens made homemade rock candy and conquered the rock climbing wall together.

During week two, Tweens participated in a sports showdown that included a variety of creative games, including knock-out basketball, nukem volleyball, and a boys vs. girls game of kickball. Our campers are impressive team players, and they really make the most of every activity. The week was rounded out with an unforgettable trip to Six Flags.

Week three ?brought out the outdoors? in everyone. The Tweens traveled to Texas Discovery Gardens and walked through the gorgeous butterfly house. It was great to see the crew enjoying one of nature?s creatures in such a beautiful environment. They also got to try their hand at fishing at Bass Pro Shop, and show off their aquatic skills at Hawaiian Falls.

In week four our Tweens enjoyed a Summer Safari at Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch, the HEARD Museum and Insync Exotics.

During week five, our Urban Adventures week, we took a VIP tour of the Cowboys Stadium, as well as a trip to Jump Street in Plano.

Christmas in July with snow cones and ice skating is up next, followed by artful antics that includes canvas painting and the Young Chef?s Academy. Summer will wrap up with an exciting homegrown version of Wylie?s Amazing Race!

Tween Scene 2012 is an epic adventure for all, and the staff can?t wait to see what exciting experiences lay ahead for our Tweens.
